Seat yourself. Lots of choices with even outdoor seating. They even have a couple of garage door windows to open up on some nice night! Great, attentive service. Had a Guinness! Took the menu suggestion and accompanied my beer with the chicken pub pie. Very tasty, not quite the same as the ones I have had at the Black Friar but still good. I highly recommend. Nice place.

Not impressed.
I brought a group of 12 here on a weekday, giving the restaurant a week's notice to be sure they were staffed appropriately.
What went wrong:
1. Not picking up glasses or dishes as people were finished with them. Like, 7 people in front of dirty dishes as we waited for service.
2. Repeatedly asking for water or free drink refills.
3. Clearing unfinished drinks instead of inquiring if anyone wanted dessert.
4. Lots of people ordered dessert only to have the waitress return and advise of a major dessert shortage due to a menu change. Why put the now incorrect dessert menu on every table then? Most people cancelled dessert.
5. Charged for the "free" birthday dessert.
If this hadn't been my birthday, I probably would let these complaints slide. I left feeling poorly because of how my friends were disappointed.

This appears to be a chain of pubs. Patio was big and nice but no nice view( not the oub's fault) just a busy street. Found the waitresses were stretched too thin so service was spotty. Seems like a lot of sports teams come into this location. Also hotel guests as there are 3 hotels in the area and absolutely nothing else to do within walking distance.
First off I had the absolute worst Caesar I have ever had there. It was warm somehow, had no garnish but that awful bean drowning in it l, little rimmer and it wasn't even close to full. Really bad. Wine was better but that's not hard to do. Daiquiris and margaritas looked super processed, sweet and slushy. Not my thing. There was a pitcher of beer for $8.95 that was a good value.
The menu was uninspired and downright BORING. It looked like a menu from 20 years ago. Few vegetarian offerings, no veggie burger. The fish and chips looked good but very greasy and battery. They did not state the type of fish- red flag! Burgers were stock food service variety, quesadilla was ok but the cheese they used was processed and not enjoyable. I think the food was overpriced fir what you got. I'm not sure how this place is a chain. -

Pretty good place to go and hang with your friends. A good selection of beers and while their menu is small it still has variety to it. It can be loud some nights but that is because of how busy it is. They have a wide selection of promotions and events going on, such as trivia, which brings a different aspect to the pub.

This Royal Oak is huge! It has plenty of seating, with many tables and chairs and plenty of room for people to sit and drink, as well as for live entertainment.
A few friends and I came here late at night for some beers. We had a couple of pitchers of Rickard's and Canadian, both reasonably priced and poured properly. Our waitress was very nice and served us very quickly. We stayed for about an hour but never felt rushed to leave. The service was much better here than at other Royal Oak locations that I've been to. If you're in the area, this one's great!
